Students learn DJ equipment basics, music fundamentals like beatmatching, adjusting track speeds for smooth transitions, and understanding music keys and harmonic mixing, as well as mixing techniques.
INSTRUCTOR DESCRIPTION
Trussie (Mars) finds love in the low end, offering up sub-heavy dancefloor shakers for bass-heads and newcomers alike. Drawing inspiration from British bass music history, the LA producer & DJ subverts the genre, using elements of bass wobbles and breaks to create batucada, 2step, and taiko rhythms. She has released with notable Bay Area label No Bias, and played alongside Jamie XX, The Dare, Doss, INVT, Anna Morgan, Bianca Oblivion, and Sybil.
